For me, the best feature of Ultra Fractal 3 is the ability to attach masking layers to individual layers. It has completely changed the way I create and I now make very few images
without masking. Four out of the six main layers in Aparen use these masks to give the effect that the spiral is emerging out of the milky, marbled background.
