This function calculates the absolute value of the argument and returns the result. For complex numbers, this function is defined as follows:

abs(a + bi) = abs(a) + abs(b) * i

Examples:

abs(2)        ; 2
abs(-2)       ; 2
abs(-3.2)     ; 3.2
abs((3, -2))  ; (3, 2)
abs((-5, 1))  ; (5, 1)
