According to the tutorial on masking - fine-tuning the gradient - to select more than one control point in the gradient editor, one holds down control key and clicks on the control points. But the "help" facility says that control-click adds or deletes control points. I guess it might depend on exactly where one clicks. Perhaps my question should be about mice - how to be precise where one clicks

Just a small idea and request for a future version of UF; I would find it useful to be able to define a colour node in the gradient using a hex color code like #D4A190, for example.

There have been occasions when I have wanted to pick a colour from my screen to use in UF. I have a simple colour picker tool I use to sample colours and it can provide me with both the hex code and the RGB value

The March 2016 collection of the parameter files of UF is sent to the cloud.

You can find them at the cloud of Microsoft:

Maybe this will be addressed in upcoming version as well, but is it a bug where the magnification and the zoom levels don't quite line up somehow when doing a deeper zoom animation. I'll set a keyframe, and then when I come back to it, it sways off to the side for a slight bit... Is there an easy way around this? Thanks!

Please please please work on making UF faster! Any plans to implement the newest discoveries outlined in this document: http://www.superfractalthing.co.nf/sft_maths.pdf

After playing with software that implements this math, I feel like UF is 20 years behind! Sorry!

ShapesDirect2 coloring, Part 2

This direct coloring formula, in jlb.ucl, lets you combine many of a single standard shape (circles, generalized ellipses, squares, rectangles, and triangles) in various ways. Use a pixel formula with it. Here’s a sample parameter set that we’ll use in the following explanation:

I would like first to say that Ultra Fractal is fantastic already. I've been using it for many years. However, I have thought of a few things it could use over the years:

3D fractals could really use a more interactive interface. Perhaps a button or automatic detection for 3D fractals that changes the mouse function to rotate either the camera rotation and/or the translation. Right mouse butt

I have worked over a month with Ultrafractals 5.5.4 on a macbook pro, running OS10.11.3. and have created some wonderful effects ( for a beginner) but 2 days ago, I wanted to add a parameter version of my latest creation and the program showed the window with my fractals for a split second, then the whole program crashed. Downloading and installing it again did not take care of the issue. I woul

Hi,

When I copy parameters from my PC version of UF5, and paste them into my Mac version of UF5, the width/height ratio is not maintained. I have checked off the box to maintain it, but the fractal is always resized to 800x330.

Is there a way to have it open on my Mac, in the size that I built it in using the PC version of UF5?

Thanks for any suggestions that you might be able to give

You could say this is a fractal manipulation to the extent that Painter X3 was used to change the facial colouring and thus to make that area dominant and expressive of intent. I'm currently trying to look again at the strengths peculiar to UF5 and this is a starter. We are very much be

Olapol mapping

There's a new version of mapping 'Olapol' on the UF Formula Database (ea.uxf).
When using old upr's, which made use of the original version 1.00, you'll don't have problems.
These upr's will work automatically with this new version.

First we see a question: "Addition or Single?". These options both use some basic mapping formulas.
'Addition' is the same as 'Olapo
