Brought in a wood texture image and applied kaleidoscope mapping.

Any way to remove white lines it creates ?

I tried it with another pictore for 41.jpg (didn't have the original) and indeed, there are white lines now.

I get white lines using your third image, but not always, depending on where the center (in the Location tab) was set.

I will experiment with center adjustments

I'm finding through slight adjustments to center location(s) I can get them to go away ... but it does alter the design a little.

I tried a different approach using a plugin style image construction. The result is not identical but pretty close to what you are after and there are no white lines:

If needed you can tweak the pattern/symmetry effect a little further with some micro adjustments to the Symmetry Centre co-ordinates in the Trap Position > Kaleidoscope plugin.

Here are the parameters:

I can compare yours with mine and hopefully learn something.

Using your image in size 240X194 i also see the wihite lines but seems that the white color it's like an opacity because the image is too small and when the mapping is applyed doesn't work well because the image is small so the contours don't join, using your image you can add a layer before and use it like as the color opacity, i attach the parameters using the image at 240X194 but if you use my image that is 2672X2160 300DPI the white lines disappears.
Hope this help...

With 2 screens open ... your input from above and my original.

Tried changing my settings to yours and can only get a solid dark blue rectangle.

Only thing I'm sure of is user error smile

I assume you are trying to reproduce the plugin image to see how it's put together? I'll admit it can be pretty tricky constructing something like this so don't worry if you find it difficult... I do too!

Without seeing your parameters I'm really not sure what you're missing, sorry. You might just have to pick through every single parameter and setting on the Outside tab to figure out what's wrong. smile

And just to be clear - I did use your small image, I just renamed it . So just navigate to where your image is when UF complains it can't find mine.

Yes trying to compare and make changes to my original using your settings.

Guess I didn't go deep enough or go through all.

Thanks for the explanation.
