Apologies if this request comes too late for version 6!

I use two screens when using UF and like the feature that enables the Layer Properties and Fractal Properties etc. to be moved to the second screen, and that they can also be docked.

Would it be possible to have these two features enabled for Gradient window, particularly, and also the Fractal Window and Browsing window, too?

Thanks!

Yes! The gradient editor, browser and fractal windows will no longer be constrained to the main window. In fact, there will be no "main" window anymore.

Re - the new interface in UF6

Great that the gradient window can now be docked, thank you! smile, but I don't seem to be able to dock the Render to Disk (quite annoying), Compiler Messages and Network windows (not a big deal as I rarely use them). If I go to another program though, they stay sitting in front of the second program, so being able to dock them would be useful - for me anyway!

Also, because the fractal now appears in the centre of the workspace and can't be moved, I am finding I keep having to dock/undock tool windows and move them around, again, they will then appear in front of other programs when undocked.

Is there a possibility of having a second docking station on the left of the workspace to keep things a bit tidier, please?

Also some issues with the gradient window. Ctrl-A doesn't work any more to select all the points in the gradient, instead it open the Parameter Library, even when the gradient widow is selected. I have found the new pop-out menu in the Controls section though, which is pretty handy smile

Because tool windows are now docked to a fractal window, you can only dock tool windows that are related to the current fractal. Each fractal window gets its own copy of the docked tool windows.

The Render to Disk tool window is stand-alone so you can't dock it.

It sounds like you're running the fractal window in maximized mode. Can I suggest that you de-maximize it and run it as a smaller window? That leaves space on the desktop for e.g. the Render tool window.

The tool windows should not stay in front of other applications when Ultra Fractal is not active. Can you make a small movie (e.g. with your phone) to show this behavior and email it to me so I can try to reproduce and fix it?

Hi Frederik, I have emailed you but the file got badly compressed by the email client because it's too big, so I've sent you a second email with a link to the uncompressed video.

The floating windows staying in front of other programs seems a bit random, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't!

Will do as you suggest re the workspace, thanks.
