I'm in the market for a compression codec that works with UF animations. I use windows vista. Itfails to save and the avi file shows up empty. It appears to have some connection to the "windows update" sessions...
It has worked for me before, but now I'm stuck with "just" images.
Anyone who can help?

This will require some research and trial and error

Rendering animations from Ultra Fractal Help
You can either render the animation to an AVI movie, or to a sequence of bitmap images in any format. It is recommended to render to a sequence of images for final renders. When you later want to compress these to a single movie (for example in MPEG format) with programs such as VirtualDub, it is much less time-consuming to experiment with different compression settings.

Hi.
Thank You so much for the links.
I've already tried virtualdub, but I sure could give it some more energy. The method seems rather simple. Or else, Ill give quick time pro a chance.
I understand the map system and the sequence of file names.
I appreciate Your response.
Kindly,
Eric
