Hi All I was just wondering if there is any info out there on using masks layers.. I read and tried the tutorial, but I guess I still don't understand there use and point of them.
Thank you for your time

I'm hoping to create animation that is both a function of time and space, but, can't figure out if it is possible in UF 6. As an example, let's say that I have created a single layer that contains a single Beziar curve that is colored all white. I can apply a coloring algorithm that changes as a function of time (i.e. a function of frame number). When I apply the coloring function, it applies

I don't know if this is the correct place for this but I have a question for the programmers. I took a fancy years ago to making designs in Microsoft Excel, treating the spreadsheet much like a needlepoint canvas. The whole trick lies in the ability to make rows and columns any desired width, thus creating 3-dimensional form.
I am familiar with the checkerboard pattern available in mac.ucl
Hi everyone,
I've just released Ultra Fractal 6.01, a free update for Ultra Fractal 6. It contains bug fixes and small improvements and is a recommended update for all Ultra Fractal 6 users.
Download it now: https://www.ultrafractal.com/download/
For a full list of changes, see the release notes:

Please let me know if you encounter any
PRETTY sure I have licensed UF, but can't find where my license number is. Any ideas how I can find that?
Hello! I have been inspired by Samuel Monnier's work for many years; I am ready to take a deep dive into programming in UltraFractal in order to create my own artwork.
But since I don't know what I don't know, I could use some initial pointers regarding where I should begin my journey.
So far, I understand that there are several layers, each carry some graphic 'elements'. What would those

Can someone please throw that kind of shit messages away.
Very urgent because in that way the forum becomes unreadable.

Has anyone started a list of coloring algorithms that will work quickly with the new deep zooming capabilities? As in what makes one compatible with the perturbation method? Currently I'm just zooming in and then trying out different ones, but thought I'd throw this out there.
Also, just looking for any general advice on using coloring algs with deep zoomed fractals (mandelbrot/julia). Orbit

Are these color presets/classes available somewhere within the reb folder? I cannot seem to locate them no matter which formula I choose. I love all the colors available in the kcc folder and use them extensively for either inside or outside coloring. I see some different ones here that Ron Barnett is offering but I don't know how to find them. I've checked his website also, perhaps I'm missi

Hi. Is the maximum size of resultant png still only about 2000px? I'm starting to play with fractals, and one of the advantages of this prog over others sounded to be larger size output. I'm thinking 3000x4000 not mega massive.....
At the moment I only have Evaluation mode, if that changes anything.

Hey
I'm new with ultrafractal and I need some help. I'm trying to do a really deep zoom animation with a fractal I made. I figured its the easiest way to keyframe the "magnification" setting (to a REALLY high number). The problem is: the higher the number, the smaller the change. Concrete: The zoom starts REALLY REALLY fast and gets VERY slow at the end. I want to get a steady continuous move

A favorite inside coloring I use in another program is called cos(mag). It gives nice simple stripes. Is there an equivalent in UF? I have looked high and low and cannot seem to find something similar. Would it be a function within a larger formula?

Hi All
I'm looking at upgrading my laptop at some point & wondered if any of you have any thoughts on the best technical specs to go for, to get the best performance for UF. My laptop is OK but trying to work on other fractals whilst rendering really slows things down & doing anything else whilst rendering is almost impossible unless I'm happy for the render times to go through the roo
Hello:
yesterday my AV/Antimalware, Emsisoft Anti-Malware, solution quarantined UF6, claiming it was a medium risk.
I have whitelsted it, however i am wondering if it is safe, and whay this should be.
Any reassurance appreciated..

Hello to everyone.
It's been ages since I opened Ultra Fractal and now when I tried to open an old parameter I got the missing formula window.
Can someone link me to "Kgnarl 14" please? It is not in the database.
greetings,
Lilliane
Is there a way to customize the UF6 toolbar? I'd like to add a New Fractal button to it.
Hi all,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the release of Ultra Fractal 6! This is a major new version for both Windows and macOS with many new features such as 64-bit support, ultra-fast deep zooming, Retina/High DPI support, and much more.
Ultra Fractal 6 is available right now at https://www.ultrafractal.com/download/
For more information on the new features, see https://www

When I try to change a formula some of the choices just show a black screen. If I open the black screen I am unable to edit. When I change something, the screen remains black. I am running Windows 10 64 bit. How can I get the formulas to work ?
I would like to know what happens when someone uses the trial version of UF to the full. After 30 days does the trial stop working? I've never used a trial for that long myself so don't know what happens!
(I recently upgraded to UF6 Extended, yay!!)
Also, I know a few people who are a bit reluctant to upgrade. They may well install the trial then uninstall it - perhaps waiting until they
Fractal Monster has some terrific images on DeviantArt. One example:

I thought I would try this really deep zoom in UF6 and then try to print it.
I suspect I made more than one mistake in the process.
I turned it into a large (14 x 10 inch image at 360 ppi for an Epso
