I've taken a copy of the obituary in today's New York Times, but am unsure of the niceties of reproducing it here.
Harold became interested in artificial intelligence and AARON was his brainchild. It automatically generates images without human assistance and his version would continue to do so without pause - an amazing achievement. He made a version freely available for use by others a few

Does anyone know how to run UF in server mode on the Mac?
Disregard.
"There's an app for that"
Why? I'm asking a legitimate question about server rendering?

Hi,
When I copy parameters from my PC version of UF5, and paste them into my Mac version of UF5, the width/height ratio is not maintained. I have checked off the box to maintain it, but the fractal is always resized to 800x330.
Is there a way to have it open on my Mac, in the size that I built it in using the PC version of UF5?
Thanks for any suggestions that you might be able to give

You could say this is a fractal manipulation to the extent that Painter X3 was used to change the facial colouring and thus to make that area dominant and expressive of intent. I'm currently trying to look again at the strengths peculiar to UF5 and this is a starter. We are very much be

Hi, new here Just picked up UF5 and playing around following videos and ran into a snag.
I create a second layer, and after playing around a little find the window is blank. I figured out how to "reset location" to center it..
but it also centers all layers. I tried only having the magnifier icon on for the layer I want to center, only highlighting it, and only having it showing..
I'm in the market for a compression codec that works with UF animations. I use windows vista. Itfails to save and the avi file shows up empty. It appears to have some connection to the "windows update" sessions...
It has worked for me before, but now I'm stuck with "just" images.
Anyone who can help?

Very strange but the Reply button works fine in Google Chrome but doesn't work at all in Mozilla Firefox.
I am sure those who use lots of forums will realise this but....It took me a few tries to make a reply to Frederik's "Welcome to the Ultra Fractal Forum" and I noticed that the first few posts are nearly all new Topics.
To Reply to a Topic started by someone else you have to click in its title bar at the top to open it and then use the Reply facility at the bottom of the post.
