I think it's a bug?
Why, when rendering, I write that I want for instance an 600 x 400 at 72 dpi and png, I obtain an image 600x400 but at 28 dpi?
I must resize with my favorite photopaint
What shall I have to do?
I see it is not the same with jpeg files where I obtain for the same parameters a 300 dpi picture?....
Thanks
I was wondering if there would be some way the user could control just how "smooth" smooth interpolation keyframes are, as in, how flat or narrow the peak is. The reason I am interested in this is because sometimes, even with smooth interpolation, the resulting animation ends up being too fast.
This may be through something analogous to keyframe handles in Adobe After Effects. Or perhaps an

UF reports the error "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" and is unable to connect to the database. I assume that this is a result of server reconfiguration? Is there a way around this other than installing the update manually?
Thanks.

I've noticed something recently that has caused me some unwelcome extra work, although now that I've pinned it down I can take care to avoid it. I thought I would just mention the issue here in case it's something that needs attention.
The issue concerns the dragging of a Group to a new fractal window. It occurs in both UF5 and UF6 and can be 100% reproduced by doing the following:
Start
In one of my formulas there is a parameter that is required to be non-negative. If I put in a negative value, a sound plays and the parameter is not changed. Perhaps a message flashes on the bottom line of the window, but if it does, it's too fast to read.
This can be confusing to the user. A message like "Parameter out of bounds" would help if it stayed up a few seconds.

Pausing computation: Provided I'm not missing any existing functionality, is there anybody else who would welcome a pausing feature for 'normal' computations, i.e. outside "Render to Disk"? Sometimes when I was too greedy with open windows, I'd like to be able to prioritise which image actually gets completed first, or I keep a window open for some reason whose computation I'm not currently inter
Hi, I rarely use this merge method and I think it's not working the same in rendering as in display mode. This happens in the latest version of UF 5 and 6.
Thank to check out this. I'm losing some very nice parts of my composition.

Sometimes when rendering a single frame of an animation at high res, rendering stops near 90% loading 1 CPU and never finishes. If I delete the animation timeline it renders fine.

It seems that if my formula uses a static class function, it's rendered only on 1 CPU using "Render to Disk" when at arbitrary precision depth. If I write the formula inline it works fine.

Hi Frederik,
I have a list of complaints and requests for 6.01. I'm using Windows 10.
Make it so that the Render to Disk window can be minimized or allow it to move to the back so that I don't have it in the way of my workspace during a render.
This isn't too much of a problem... but if I inadvertently close the Render to Disk window during a render, allow it to be reopened without c
I've got an annoying issue with UF 5.04 EE. The formula files below show up as black and white when I click to do a New Fractal. If I double click on a specific formula, it'll then load with whatever gradient I've chosen in the options in a new Fractal# window. I've tried repeatedly changing the gradient then restarting UF and even restarting the computer. It didn't used to act like this. I notic
Hi!
I´m experiencing lots of crashes with UF 6.01 nowaydays.
I recently reinstalled Windows 10 on my computer and after that when I installed UF 6 and started the software it crashed, installed 6.01 and it has been crashing all the time.
Mostly when I´m "multitasking" in UF (making quick changes before it has rendered what im doing).
Sometimes it just gets stuck in the

Has anyone experienced something like this with UF6? Brightly colored static-like pixels. After rendering they disappear.
thanks,
Kathy
A repeat of an old request that didn't make it into version 6.
In any Exploration window, allow exploring either linearly or in the exponent. This would be especially useful for Magnification, but perhaps for other parameters.
When UF6 is started, the Ultra Fractal startup window appears showing that the program is starting. Sometimes that seems to take several minutes, which seems like a long time (especially since UF5 always starts very quickly) but I could live with it if I could continue to do other work while UF is initializing. However, the startup window insists on being in front of everything else, making that
A bug in the Windows version: When a UF6 window is showing along with undocked tool windows (like Gradient and Layer Properties) and the "Show desktop" button on the taskbar is clicked, everything is minimized as expected. But switching to a different application (not UF6) will incorrectly show the undocked UF6 tool windows.
Workaround: Open a UF6 fractal window and minimize it to make the un
Hi Frederik,
I do not understand why you've removed the toolbar with all of its friendly options from UF6 for Windows. Version 5 is so user friendly yet 6 has made it tedious and time consuming having to click this or that through the menu commands to do the same things.
I am an end user that paid for and loves your software to create art for my business. I'm begging you to add it back. O
I really miss the Eyedropper button in UF6. It's a function I use frequently and I'm finding it a bit fiddly to access it via the popup right-click menu on the Gradient Editor, which seems to be the only option right now.
I would therefore like to lodge a request for this to be re-instated in UF6, if possible. Perhaps as a little eyedropper button on the Controls section of the Gradient windo

Hello all, I'm trying to get a clear/opaque background with the Bubbles trap shape but for some reason it doesn't work. I have Background Color set to zero Opacity. Other shapes work fine. Does anyone else get this same result? Thanks much. (This is referring to the kcc3.ucl folder)
Here's the same with Petals & Spheroids:

I found a random bug by accident. I typed in a value too high for the image resolution, and when it tried to resize to that huge size I got an opengl error "Your hardware configuration does not meet the minimum specification needed to run the application. The application must close. Error code: 6, would you like to visit nvidia.com blah blah.
Just so you know... a place to error catch I guess
