This sinister-looking character was found skulking about
in a Mandelbrot+fBm fractal. He took a bit of coaxing and
primping to make him presentable; four basic layers for the
shape, two color adjustment layers, and two texturing layers.
One of the texturing layers provides the glow and focus around
the head, with the large-scale fBm pattern (two fBm textures).
The other texturing layer provides some "grit",
a fine-grained texture.
